Can I dig my own trench by renting equipment?
You can, but we don't recommend it for a few reasons. Excavating a trench is more than digging. You need to understand how to properly work with the soil to ensure utilities are buried at a safe depth and will not experience failure or problems later on.
Do you only dig trenches for utility lines?
Utility lines are the most common reason to dig a trench, but if you're in need of general trenching services we can help! Simply get in touch with us and describe your project, we'll figure out your needs and determine the best approach.
Do I need to do any preparation before you visit?
Depending on the conditions on your site, you may need to move certain obstructions so we can safely navigate. We'll perform a site visit prior to beginning work which identifies any preparation you may need to do. In most cases, it's very minor and easy!
How deep are you able to excavate a trench?
Our equipment is able to excavate as deep as your basement needs to go. Most basements are anywhere from 6 to 10 feet below ground level, a depth which our machines can easily reach. During consultation we'll determine which equipment is right for your project.
What happens if you find underground lines or pipes?
Before we do any excavation work our team checks for the locations of underground utilities. However, there are times where a utility may not be marked on drawings. If we discover any unmarked infrastructure, we'll immediately stop to resolve the situation before continuing.
